I have a feeling Satoshi is going to reveal himself once bitcoin reaches a price where if he sold all of his bitcoins (I don't know the estimated ammount off of the top of my head) he would be the richest man in the world by a LONG shot. Until then he waits in the shadows.

Nobody knows and I doubt anyone will ever know. I highly doubt his bitcoins will ever move around or be sold. I also believe that the character would never reveal himself, and wish to remain anonymous. He created an alternative form of currency meant to avoid banks and institutions, so I doubt he would want to expose himself to the world, or even cash in on the "fame."

Hi, Mister Jglake!
Why would Mister Nakamoto reveal himself when he will have Bitcoins for, let's say, $100B? I think Pablo Escobar (one of the richest man) would pay a very high price for staying anonymous, but he did not succeed to hide.
I think Satoshi, being very rich, will not try to show off his gold. If he wants fame, he would already reveal himself to the public.

I believe he will wait for personal safety. Cryptocurrency has a tendency to be VERY discrete so therefore it is used in shady places and for shady reasons i.e. the FBI confiscating bitcoins from silk road so there could be the possibility of personal safety being harmed.
