Re: CryptoHeresy Will Close its Doors

It sounds a little contradictory but I think I get the general gist. Just to clear up - the ability to register will not be hindered after June, it's just that newly registered members have posting limitations that can be removed? I was interpreting it as that registrations themselves would be completely blocked after June and CryptoHeresy would become a closed-off community - which it still somewhat is.

Do you have any ideas on how limiting those limitations will be? I'd hate for the bar to be raised up so high that CryptoHeresy essentially has no new inflow of ideas from new members and slowly deteriorate (since members will naturally become inactive and leave).

Really interested in what kinds of ideas you have on this.

Hey Revo, thanks for your questions. I understand your anxiety. Let me clarify the situation.

All new members since the 1st of June will have to prove than they are here for discussions, not for promoting doubtful stuff. Only then they will be allowed to post on CryptoHeresy. I will not to raise the bars, I would like to build a border-crossing point. There will be multiple options to get the ability to post such as:
  • Referral system.
  • Content contribution.
  • Meaty introduction post.
  • Nice history on other forums.
  • Good question from a Bitcoin newbie.
  • Make a small donation.
Things may sound utopian. But who the hell in the world can stop us? If you want the changes, you go and make it real 🙂

P.S. Revo, if you have a free minute or two, have a look at the CryptoHeresy introduction post on Medium:
